The Rising of the Moon Clann combines detailed world-building, character-driven storytelling, and a structured magic system. Early responses from readers and genre reviewers highlight the novel’s layered narrative and mythological influences.

While rooted in folklore and historical inspiration, the novel also addresses contemporary social issues, offering a narrative that bridges traditional fantasy elements with modern concerns.
The release reflects a broader trend of UFV alumni contributing to Canada’s arts and culture sector. Graduates from the university’s English and creative writing programs have gone on to publish novels and other creative works, supported by UFV’s emphasis on critical thinking and creative exploration.
